I am an artist and specialist art teacher working from my home studio in the beautiful Peak District. I graduated with a BA Hons in Graphic Design and two awards from the Royal Society of Arts and embarked upon a career as a graphic designer at the John Lewis Partnership in London. Following on from a gap year travelling in India, I qualified as a specialist teacher of art and design and have taught for more than twenty years. I have a love of colour and continue to take inspiration from my travels to India and Asia. I am drawn to the vibrant colours in flowers, landscapes and the natural world and this is a recurrent theme in my work.

I have recently worked as an artist in residence at the Buxton Opera House where I used my experience of working with colour to capture the beautiful architectural details of the building and I have been commissioned to produce a series of paintings. My work is on display in a number of local galleries and craft shops and my entry for the Buxton Spa Prize in 2017 was awarded the Buxton International Festival Award, Highly Commended and runner up in the People's Choice Award. I also have two exciting solo exhibitions planned for 2018.

I offer a wide choice of art workshops, which run throughout the year and these are based in my studio in Buxton. Please see my website for details.
