David Hoodith

My work has evolved during my ten year involvement in the Derbyshire Open Arts event. Most recently urban explorations capturing the hectic, colourful nature of city life are balanced by painting of the relative peace and harmony of living in the more rural Peak District.

Our venue at 67 Mellor Road has attracted an ever increasing number of visitors over the years, as it's reputation for a warm welcome spreads far and wide. Vistors return year on year, and new faces are added each time. Free refreshments, live acoustic guitar music and five artists with their own take on the world, what's not to like? Some years the Sun also shines, and when it fails to, we all make an extra special effort to brighten your day, so why not join us, you'd be daft not to.
