There is a preview evening on Friday 25th May

I am a full time landscape photographer living in Chesterfield and working largely in Peak District. Most of my time is centred on presenting and selling my work, although I also undertake photography and software workshops that are designed to help photographers develop their skills in both taking their images and processing them using Photoshop and/or Lightroom, and possibly printing them as high quality prints.

I originally trained in professional photography in London in the late 1970s at what was then Ealing Technical College (its name and area of operation has since changed). I have since enjoyed a full and varied career in photography, both full and part time since my training.

To give you an idea of the type of work I have done over the years, here are the types of image that are in my portfolio: Theatre and TV promotional images / Portraits / Product Shots / Press images / Landscape Images / Personal Projects / Weddings and Social photography.

Which one gives me the most enjoyment? Any one that gives me the freedom to express myself and experiment on my own terms. I am currently exploring Multiple Exposure and ICM (Intentional Camera Movement) images with varying degrees of success; I'm sure that this will improve over time.

Alongside that I have started to travel more abroad to explore other regions of the world and I have recently returned from Turkey having enjoyed and very productive time on Cappadocia. Further trips are planned for 2018 with the USA as a possible destination.

I continue to explore this country and I have plans in place to spend more time in Cornwall in the coming months. This is a personal project to explore the South West region more having lived there in the past, but not having captured much of it on camera; I am hoping that I have developed my own skills over time and that I will be able to capture exciting images that fully represent the area and the seascapes that are missing from the Peaks.

Photography is an exciting career or past time, one that allows the participant to express themselves and one that is varied enough to satisfy most peoples interests, be it sport or theatre, landscape or portraits or technical or artistic. Jump in and see where it takes you, I recommend it.
